“You guys (Whiskey Basin) changed my life making it brighter in so many ways. You are like a second family to me and I love you all. Thanks for all your prayers and inspiring music. I’d like to share my story with all your fans.”

“For those of you who don’t know me from the shows my name is Susan and I’m 36 years old. I’ve been friends with the band and Seymour family for some time now. Last year (2009) I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and thought my life was over. Thanks to the support of my family, Whiskey Basin and families, and their fabulous Seven Sundays CD, I got through all my chemo, down days and sleepless nights. The band and family members provided me with so much prayer and inspiration to keep me going. I don’t recall ever missing a show unless I was in the hospital for some reason, and that broke my heart.”
“I AM NOW CANCER FREE as of 1/6/2010 and proud of myself - but most of all, having the Whiskey Basin family by my side. The last treatment I’ve had to complete was 33 days of radiation, Monday through Friday. Every day. Even going through that didn’t stop me from enjoying a show or a Whiskey Basin Party. They’ve seen my wounds and what I’ve endured and conquered, yet they always seem to help relieve my pain. They are my true inspiration. Luv ya.
Come to a show, buy a CD, meet the band and you’ll understand what I mean.”
Susan,
we can’t tell you how touched we are by this letter and yes, your struggle has been at times an uphill battle - we will always be there to help push you up that last step to the top of the hill if you need us.
Congratulations lady. You’re cancer free!
